Today I´m going to show you my first attempt in doing ombre nails. It didn´t work out that well as I wanted it to be, but hey I tried my best.
What u will need:
- 2 Shades of Nailpolishes in the colors of your choice
- 1 Make Up Sponge ( U can find them at the drugstore in a pack of 8 for cheap(its in a cakeform))
- Q-Tips and Nailpolish Remover.
Lets get started: I used two Shades from China Glaze: Sun Worshipper (the neon orange) and 108 Degrees (hot pink with metallic glitter)
First: I painted my nails 2 coats of the Neon Orange Shade to make it opaque.
Then I brushed a bit of the hot pink polish onto the edge of the Make Up Sponge. With light dabbing motions I sponged it on the tips of my nails (well, at least I tried to stay on the tips -haha!). The Sponge absorbs most of the polish so u have to work fast. Remove all your mistakes and clean your cuticles with the Q-Tips and the Nailspolish Remover, or u can use P2 Color Stop to prevent ur cuticles getting dirty with Polish.
Then u are going to seal in your Design with a Quick drying Topcoat. I used Essies Good to go. And then u will end up with something like this: (Sorry I forgot to take a after-clean-cuticles-picture)
U also can try it with more then 2 shades of polish. There are endless possibilities. What´s ur favorite colormatch? Did u try ombre nails yet?
I hope u enjoyed me writing in english. Have a nice Day - Ripley
